Coaching
There are points in a career when the question is no longer simply what next? It is also who do I want to be in what comes next? I coach people who are successful, capable, and are often carrying a lot - people who want space to think properly about a transition, a difficult decision, their leadership, or the direction their work and life are taking.
My approach combines psychosynthesis coaching with my background in psychology and anthropology. That means we can work with the practical problem in front of you, while also paying attention to identity, relationships, values, and the wider systems you are part of.
I wonāt tell you what your answers should be. I will listen closely, ask difficult questions when they are useful, and help you see patterns and possibilities that can be difficult to recognise from inside your own life. I lead with compassion and invite you to do the same.
Who I Work With
I coach high performers - leaders in sport, business, the arts, and academia - who are:
At a crossroads in their career or identity
Finding that success has brought a new set of questions
Dealing with imposter feelings or uncertainty about belonging
Balancing an absorbing role with the rest of life
Trying to lead in a way that is both effective and humane
Thinking about belonging, culture or relationships within their organisation
How I Coach
My coaching is grounded in psychosynthesis, an integrative approach that works with thoughts, feelings, values, identity and embodied experience. I combine this with my background as a psychologist and cognitive anthropologist, and more than 15 years studying identity, belonging and human behaviour. Iām particularly interested in the experience of people navigating different worlds: professional, cultural, social or personal; and in the questions of identity and belonging that can come with that. Coaching with me is a space in which complexity does not need to be edited out.
I trained as a coach in psychosynthesis and work within the professional standards of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). I am also a Chartered Psychologist, with a DPhil and MSc from the University of Oxford.
